Misfit Flare
Role: Design lead ID and UX, product development and packaging. Released in 2016.
Flare was conceived as the most accessible device in the Misfit fitness product family, with an incredibly simple interface and minimalist design that still offered the core functionality of Misfit products. The design features a comfortable TPU strap, aluminum frame and crystal inset from which the LED pulses. The battery lasts 4-6 months before replacement, making sure you don't need to charge between activities or during sleep.

Flare is controlled by simple taps to start and stop activity tracking, view activity progress and activate an IFTTT command such as turning your connected lights on and off. More detailed fitness data such as steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep tracking is accessible in the Misfit app.
